Discover Beaver Dam Lake
Serenity on the Water – Perfect for Family Fun, Fishing, and Relaxation
Nestled in Northwest Dodge County, Beaver Dam Lake spans an impressive 6,718 acres, making it the 16th largest lake in Wisconsin. With 41 miles of scenic shoreline, this impounded lake offers year-round adventure, whether you’re drawn to the thrill of water sports or the tranquility of nature.
In the summer, Beaver Dam Lake becomes a hub for water enthusiasts. The lake’s six city parks, including Tahoe Park, Waterworks, and Cotton Mill, provide easy access to fishing, boating, and paddling. The award-winning Beaverland Must-skis waterski team performs thrilling, jam-packed shows throughout the summer at Tahoe Park, beginning Memorial Day. With six public recreational boat landings, three public kayak launch docks, and a marina on the lake’s south end, there’s no shortage of ways to explore the water.
Beaver Dam Lake is also a haven for anglers, offering excellent fishing opportunities year-round. The lake is home to a variety of fish, including walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, panfish, and catfish. Thanks to an annual fish stocking program, the lake’s fish populations remain robust, ensuring successful outings whether you’re fishing in open water or through the ice in winter.
The lake’s shallow depth, averaging 3-7 feet, makes it ideal for recreational boating, water skiing, and other water sports. The shoreline is dotted with public fishing docks and parks like Derge County Park and Campground, offering prime spots for a day of relaxation.
In the colder months, Beaver Dam Lake transforms into a winter wonderland, perfect for ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The lake’s extensive wildlife habitat attracts a diverse array of birds and animals, including pelicans, ducks, eagles, egrets, cranes, turtles, and Canadian geese, making it a prime destination for nature lovers.
With only 800 parcels, home to around 1,400 residents, and a property value exceeding $180 million, Beaver Dam Lake is not only a recreational gem but also a vibrant community. Whether you’re stopping by for a day of adventure or settling in to enjoy the lakeside lifestyle, Beaver Dam Lake offers something for everyone, making it a true water lover’s paradise.
